Anytime Pediatrics has partnered with a team of highly qualified and experienced registered nurses to answer patient calls when your pediatric practice is closed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Anytime Pediatrics After-Hours Nurse Triage
Pediatric clinicians can rest easy knowing their patients are receiving safe and accurate care advice with every after-hours call, avoiding unnecessary and costly emergency room visits.
After-hours nurse triage drives revenue back to the practice and improves the medical home for the patient: only 5% of calls have the disposition, “Go to Emergency Department Now,” whereas the national call center average is 14%.
Provide a cutting-edge, virtual approach to nurse triage when your office is closed.
Why Switch to Virtual Nurse Triage?
Did you know that over 80% of after-hours nurse calls are made based on parent worry and do not need hands-on care?
When it comes to after-hours pediatric care, it’s crucial to differentiate between callers who need to talk with you immediately and those who can wait until the following day. Having to manage this within your practice doors means less time off for your clinicians who are always on call in the evenings and the weekends, and your office staff who is at odds trying to meet patient concerns while managing clinician schedules.
- Nurses can triage patients by phone or video
- Patients can be routed to a provider from your practice, a partner of choice, or have a next-day visit scheduled
- Anytime After-Hour nurses have over five years of ER or telephone triage experience
- Anytime After-Hours nurses follow Schmitt-Thompson Protocols
Is It Time to Upgrade Your After-Hours Care?
If your current after-hours program feels more like telephone tag with limited technology and a reliance on national call centers then it may be time for an upgrade.
Other obstacles to current after-hours programs can include:
- Difficult access for parents – Your patients may not be using your after-hours program because it is inconvenient, time-consuming, and there is too much of a delay in getting a callback.
- Over referral for care – Neither the on-call nurse nor the physician can see the patient from the medical home.
- Loss of revenue – Convenience is a driving factor in a parent’s decision-making process, and this has led to higher rates of retail clinic visits or self-diagnosing. These decisions decrease revenue for your practice and diminish the pediatrician-child relationship that is at the center of the medical home.
